Yesterday night, it rained over the area and I can feel that the temperature dropped significantly. It was still about 90 degrees, but it improved a lot than the previous days. People here are nice and welcoming. I met a professor and had an almost free lecture about costal safety and emergency first aid. However, most of the people are either snorkeling or scuba diving, so I missed most of that interesting part. Dinner was great-- we had decent burgers which could likely be the best food we ever got on this trip*. The day was quite relaxing for me due to the fact that I was not doing any of the optional sports, but we still had fun on the beach. I can clearly see that almost everyone is tired by this point, and a loose and relaxing day like today is what they needed. Shout out for the trip planner for doing a good job at planning things in a logical order. By the way, we went to see the sun set over the beach and it was kind of covered by cloud but still amazing. I will sum this up here by saying that today is nice, relaxing and necessary for this group and we definitely had fun.

*This is Jackie and I would just like to say that NO, the food we had the night before at #Bill’s was great and had many options for the vegans and vegetarians…the burgers were subpar.**
**Sammy believes that they were pretty good.
So you heard from Mr. William and they had a pretty relaxing day on the land…on the boat side (aka the scuba and snorkel) we did not. Wake up was an early 7am with breakfast following shortly afterwards. We walked the short way over to the dive shop and got suited up with the appropriate wetsuits and gear then bused over to the boat ramp. The travel to the reef was pretty much the same as yesterday’s talk n walk. I was in the scuba crew so that meant getting geared up with the thick wetsuit, vest thingy (BC?? I did not take the offered refresher course sorry ms. Jim), tanks, fins, etc.
