Our group will explore critical issues facing Cuba, and turn ideas into actionable solutions during design thinking workshops. When applied to social issues, this intentional design process can outline how entrepreneurs can conquer some of the world’s most pressing challenges. Students will be able to present their ideas to a panel of judges at the end of their trip. Other highlights include a trip to Banao to learn about sustainable tourism and conservation, a mangrove restoration service project, a visit to the Che Guevara Museum, examination of a biosphere project in Las Terrazas, and exploration of the fascinating city of Havana.
