Hello, this is George, this is my first blog and today we did a LOT of stuff. The beginning of the day started in Tokyo where we left our hotel and boarded the Shinkansen to Nara. The trip to Nara took all of the morning and quite a bit of the afternoon, seeing as we arrived in Nara at 2 p.m. When we finally got to Nara we expected to see more of Tokyo but we were pleasantly surprised to find a quiet town. After a short walk we found the hotel and while waiting for the rooms to be available we took a look around the town. I was mugged by so many deer while visiting the temple, but the deer here are messengers of gods. I actually enjoyed them. Fast forward a couple of hours and we were putting on Kimonos for dinner. The meal, what looked and seemed like a nine course meal, left us feeling bloated but complacent. We left for the public baths to clean and prepare for bed shortly after. Upon returning to our rooms, all of them being traditional style with Tatami mats, we all sunk into a happy slumber in our authentic Futon.
