Today was a very interesting day. There was so many different things that I experienced. After getting up, doing laundry, eating curry and hitting the bakery, we got on a train bound for Harajuku. Here we started off by going to the Meiji Shrine where we explored the area. We witnessed a wedding that was beautiful. After this we headed down to the city area where there was this big street that was overwhelming with restaurants but that mostly focused on fashion (Takeshita Dori). After eating a huge piece of cotton candy, I headed to Daiso (a Japanese dollar store) with friends and bought some snacks for later. Then me and others went to get crepes and food for lunch. After this we hung around town for a while until we were able to meet with the diplomat at the American Center of Japan. We were all very amused. He gave a very interesting talk about what he does and what his job requires. I thought is was very interesting. After this we went to Shibuya. This is the famous city with the crosswalk that goes all directions. After a delicious dinner of pork katsu and miso soup, me and the rest of the boys went down to to explore. We went to cross the street and I was so amazed by all the different faces I saw as I crossed. When we got to an overpass and took pictures. I reflected on my experiences and realized how lucky I was to be in Japan. It was funny because half of the places I have been already I have seen have always been in pictures in my Japanese class. I felt very lucky to be here in person. Well off to bed for another exciting day tomorrow.
